Steven's Corner - Great Ambitions

Steven’s Corner has ambitions:
1. To spread its wings beyond the Malaysian shores and also;
2. To introduce the brand name (Steven’s Corner and Steven’s TeaGarden) to foreign countries.

Now that they have a new image and they hope to establish through franchise licensing, chain restaurants with standardized system, thus making Steven's Tea Garden a famous icon home and abroad.

Through a proper deliberate planning, they also plan to open 100 new restaurants in Malaysia in the next 3 years. If the plan materializes, Steven’s Tea Garden will become the biggest mamak restaurant chain in Malaysia, with an entry in the Malaysia Book of Records.

At the same time, they will seek a listing at the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange. For the foreseeable future, they will travel along this well-defined direction towards our ultimate target – a listing at KLSE. They even envisage a listing in UK stock exchanges, but this is not the only grand scheme they have in store. They plan to open franchise restaurants in Singapore, Thailand, Europe and the United States as well.

What a great future plan they have! Salute Steven!

History of Steven's Corner

Steven's Corner is a mamak restaurant which is established by an Indian couple in year 1976. It is located in Overseas Union Garden, off Old Klang Road, Kuala Lumpur. Steven’s original stall is situated near a shop corner, hence the name Steven's Corner. At the beginning of his business, steven opened a small humble stall, selling mamak fried noodles and roti canai only. As years go by, Steven's Corner started to grow in size and number, making it one of the best mamak restaurants of all. Undeniably, the secret behind Steven’s Corner expansion is the countless sweat and toils of its owner and the never-ending, supportive loyal customers. Later, resolution, hard works and determination are proved to help the restaurant determine its own path and establish its own unique business model.

In 1985, Steven's Corner was registered as Sri Komalah Restaurant and extended its business hours to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In 1997, Steven's Corner opened its second restaurant in Pandan Indah, Cheras. Followed by 2007, a third restaurant in Setapak is built.

Steven's Corner imports its own spices. With secret recipes passed down from generation to generation and its own innovations, it has been able to introduce its unique, trail-blazing menu. A mamak cuisine craze that swept the land helped establish Steven's Corner as a modern, conspicuous culinary icon. Steven's Corner is also the first mamak restaurant in Malaysia to offer wireless broadband Internet connections.

Today, Steven's Corner wants to bring mamak cuisine to every corner of the country. For this purpose it has been registered as a service business with the trademark "Steven's Tea Garden". From now on Steven's Tea Garden will launch chain restaurants throughout Malaysia, thus realizing its ambition to grow into a bigger, stronger brand that will serve the Malaysian food lovers for a long time to come.
